Smart URL Feature

The Smart URL feature, built into the "Ad Creation" automation, automates the setup of the CTA button's URL: the system extracts the link from the post the ad is based on and uses it as the button's destination. This is especially useful for automations where ads are created from many different posts and the URL may vary per post.

How It Works?​

If Smart URL is enabled, the system proceeds according to the following logic:

  1. The post contains a link → the URL found in the post is placed behind the CTA button; the manually provided URL is ignored.
  2. The post does not contain a link → the system uses the manually provided URL as a fallback.

If Smart URL is disabled, the manually entered URL is valid for every ad, regardless of whether the post contains a link.

When Is It Worth Using?​

  • When the posts being advertised regularly contain their own link (e.g., blog articles, products, promotions), and you want every ad to point to its own relevant destination page.
  • When you don't want to manually set the CTA URL for each individual post.

The feature is available in both the Ad Creation and the Ad Scaling automation.
